When you blurt out in class that my use of assigned seatings is kind of “like high school,” do you think this will earn you points with me? I have had assigned seats in my constitutional law courses for 18 years. Why? because I can randomly call on you to ask you questions about cases, and easily learn your name. This was the first time in 18 years a student has ever challenged me like that. Hmmm… do you think this is going to work out well for you? Good way to impress the prof in the first week of class.
