Apparently the world of the airplane traveler is about to get a little bit easier.

As the Los Angeles Times reports

Small snow globes will receive a reprieve from the list of excluded items you can carry on a plane this summer, according to theTransportation Security Administration. The trinkets now fall into the same no-no category as box cutters and knives — unless they are stored in checked luggage.

TSA says all of that will change and soon. “Later this summer, TSA expects to begin allowing small snow globes in carry-on luggage when packed in a passenger’s plastic 3-1-1 bag,” the agency said in a statement.

I am so relieved to know that I can carry on my snow globe.   You have no idea how much sleep I have lost worrying about this.    Actually… I had no idea that they were banned.  Just never saw that as one of those terror-inducing items.    Box cutters, knifes,  hand grenades,  snow globes…

Really?   I am glad they are so concerned about our safety.

 I will sleep well tonight.
